According to Regulation on Feed and Feed Additive Import Registration (MARA Decree No.2, 2014, enforced on July 1, 2014), most import feed and ingredients, including pet food, must receive an import registration license, also referred to as a product registration. Overseas manufacturing facilities wishing to export these products to China are required to apply for an import registration license through a China-based knowledgeable and qualified agent.
